Note: You can use images smaller than recommended, but if the images are too small you may get pixelation, causing the image quality to look poor.

There are many tools that you can use to create great looking images to add to your Publications, but here are just a couple of our favourites;
If you haven’t already heard of Canva, then this is definitely one image tool you should be aware of. Easily one of the simplest to use image editors online, with a big database of free stock images, fonts and graphics for you easily to create any image you require.
Recently purchased by Buffer, Pablo is the simplest tool to create great cover images using stock pictures and text overlay, a trend seen on most popular blogs. As with Canva this tool is free, and if you use Buffer, the images you create plug straight into your account.
Good stock images are the foundation of good looking content, Free Images is the best free stock image database that I have come across. Just be smart on navigating around the premium images that they also try to promote through the site.
